Minecraft Dungeons 2 Launches on September 29th, Coming to Nintendo Switch 2

Minecraft Dungeons 2

Ahead of its supposed reveal at the Xbox Games Showcase, the Nintendo eShop listing for Minecraft Dungeons 2 has gone live. Retailing for $29.99, it’s confirmed for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, with four-player co-op on a single console, local wireless and online.

The listing also reveals new screenshots and plot details. While you’ll be dealing with some “new evil,” it seems the conflict extends to two worlds instead of one. Perhaps the Nether will be developed much further this time around with tougher challenges.

Those who pre-order will receive two hero skins, a Twisted cape and a Twisted chicken pet. As with its predecessor, we may see Adventure Passes deliver new DLC content, including additional regions, enemies, and bosses.

As for the base game, leaks indicate that players will explore locations like the Honeycomb Fields with the Forest, Lake and Fields alongside the Desert where a Fortress, Mountain and Icelagoon await. The Forest also seemingly goes deeper than you’d think with different entrances and a “Witchzone.”

We’ll need to wait for more details, but Microsoft will likely unveil all of this on June 7th during its showcase, so stay tuned. And if Minecraft Dungeons 2 is coming to Nintendo consoles, then it’s more obvious than ever to also launch on PS5 alongside PC and Xbox Series X/S.
