Hogwarts Legacy Will Run at 1440p on Switch 2 When Docked, HDR and DLSS Support Confirmed

Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy is set to release as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2 in less than a month’s time, ahead of which new technical details on the open world action RPG’s port for Nintendo’s next-gen console are continuing to trickle out.

For instance, in a recently sent out Japanese press release, Sega – the game’s distributor in Japan – has revealed that Hogwarts Legacy will run at 1440p on the Nintendo Switch 2 when playing in docked mode, and 108p when playing handheld (via VGC).

The game will also tout improvements to lighting, shadows, and more for “significantly upgraded graphics” compared to Hogwarts Legacy’s Switch 1 version. Support for HDR and DLSS has also been confirmed. This makes it the second game to confirm DLSS support on the Switch 2, the first being Cyberpunk 2077.

Hogwarts Legacy is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and launches for the Nintendo Switch on June 5.
