NetherRealm Studios has revealed Mortal Kombat 1: Definitive Edition, which contains the 2023 fighting game and all content released post-launch, like Kombat Pack 1, the Khaos Reigns expansion, and more. Check out the launch trailer below.
Retailing for $69.99, the Definitive Edition also includes Shang Tsung, six Kameo Fighters (including the recently released Madam Bo), the MK2 Movie Skin Pack, and the Tournament Liu Kang skin. You also get six Premier skins, instant unlocks for the Kameo Pack and Havik, and 1250 Dragon Krystals.
The base game’s price has also dropped to $49.99. A paid upgrade option for the Definitive Edition is also available.
Mortal Kombat 1 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Though director Ed Boon promised extensive post-launch support, rumors indicate that Khaos Reigns sold poorly. A second story expansion and Kombat Pack 3 were also allegedly cancelled. As for what’s next for the studio, stay tuned for updates.
