SOMA Trailer Showcases Upcoming Switch Port

SOMA

Frictional Games of Amnesia fame announced earlier this year that its sci-fi horror title SOMA was headed to the Nintendo Switch, and we have now been given our first look at the port.

Frictional Games has released the first trailer for SOMA’s upcoming Switch release, which showcases brief glimpses of gameplay and sets the stage for the dive into PATHOS-II, the terrifying and desolate underwater research facility that serves as the stage for SOMA’s horrific tale.

Frictional Games says port developer Abylight Studios has ensured that SOMA remains “a full, faithful adaptation” on the Switch. According to the developer, the port will tout “optimized performance, stunning visuals, and immersive sound design.”

A release date hasn’t been announced for SOMA’s Switch port. Frictional Games says it will be “compatible with the Switch 2” but a native version hasn’t been released. Meanwhile, Frictional Games and Abylight Studios are also working on Switch versions of Amnesia: Rebirth and Amnesia: The Bunker
