After recently revealing 4.6 million lifetime sales, Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 has achieved a new milestone: Over five million copies sold. The fighting game launched in June 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC and has remained one of the more acclaimed options.

Street Fighter 6 features several new additions to the franchise’s formula. The Drive system adds a new competitive layer to fights, and World Tour mode offers a third-person story experience from the perspective of a custom avatar, who can take various fighters as their master. There’s also the Battle Hub, which serves as a virtual arcade where players can fight online, either as their favorite characters or with avatars.

Street Fighter 6 recently launched for the Nintendo Switch 2, including all previously released content and a new DLC fighter, Elena. Of course, support isn’t stopping anytime soon with the Year 3 Character Pass recently revealed. It kicks off with Sagat this Summer, followed by C. Viper in Fall, Alex in early Spring 2026 and Ingrid in late Spring 2026.
