Sonic X Shadow Generations Has Been Rated in South Korea
Sega has declared 2024 the year of Shadow the Hedgehog, which means fans of the Ultimate Lifeform (as he likes to be referred to) have plenty to look forward to in the coming months. That, of course, includes Keanu Reeves voicing him in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which will release in theaters worldwide this December, but Sonic fans in the gaming space won’t be left behind either.
Earlier this year, Sega announced Sonic X Shadow the Hedgehog, an expanded remaster of the 2011 3D platformer Sonic Generations featuring a new, standalone campaign focused on Shadow the Hedgehog. A specific release date – beyond a Fall 2024 window – hasn’t yet been revealed, but a recent age rating for the game by South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) suggests that the game is in the final stretch of its production, and could be approaching its launch (or at least a related announcement).
Whenever it launches, Sonic X Shadow Generations will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
