Massive Entertainment’s tease of a “big project” announcement for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 at Gamescom could be a new DLC after all. Furthermore, it seems to occur in a Winter version of Washington, D.C., according to a fresh tease.

The developer tweeted about SHD scanners picking up “unusual activity” and that more “intel” would arrive at Gamescom. If the image of trudging through D.C.’s streets wasn’t enough, there’s the double meaning of “Stay frosty.” Could this be the return of Survival from The Division 1, which offered a fun extraction-style mode for players?

Time will tell as Massive has two panels slated for Gamescom. Timings have yet to be revealed, but the first goes behind the scenes for Battle for Brooklyn and discusses what’s next for the seasons. The second, meanwhile, outlines how player feedback is shaping the looter shooter while revealing a “big project” for the same. Free-to-play mobile shooter The Division Resurgence is also due for some updates, so stay tuned.
