Ubisoft Bordeaux’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a return of sorts to the series’ roots, is now available for Steam after launching one year ago. It’s available at 50 percent off and explores the origins of Basim from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as he goes from street thief to a member of the Hidden Ones.
As with other Ubisoft titles published on Steam, you’ll need the Ubisoft Connect launcher and an account when logging in. Once linked to your Steam profile, the launcher isn’t required for subsequent logins. A “lightweight” version is bundled with the Steam version, and there’s also support for Achievements.
If that weren’t enough, Assassin’s Creed Mirage supports Steam Deck, though it falls in the “Unknown” category. An update will change it to the “Playable” category and even let you launch at Low settings from the outset. As Ubisoft notes, “Higher settings may impact the experience and lead to instability when playing on Steam Deck,” so keep that in mind.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is also available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. Check out our review. Ubisoft’s next mainline title, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, launches on February 14th, 2025, for current-gen consoles and PC after a recent delay. It will be available on day one for Steam.
