Claws of Awaji will finally arrive for Assassin’s Creed Shadows players on September 16th, but before that, they can look forward to New Game+ on July 29th. As discussed in a new roadmap update, you can carry over character levels, gear, Knowledge Ranks, Hideout progression, and more into a new playthrough.
While story progression and locations will reset, you can skip straight to Naoe obtaining the Hideout and won’t have to deal with tutorials. The level cap will increase from 60 to 80, and there will be new Knowledge Ranks, an additional Forge level, Hideout building upgrades and Project 3 for the Animus with new rewards.
Of course, it might be more enticing to wait until the beginning of September for the big new quality-of-life update. Arriving before Claws of Awaji, it unfogs the map in each region after viewpoint synchronization, lets you skip the time of day to dusk or dawn, adds even more upgrades for the Hideout, and another Forge level.
If that weren’t enough, you can expect cutscenes on PC to have uncapped frame rates and “additional goodies that may be familiar to long-time series fans.” Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
