Ghost of Yōtei’s Camping Allows Atsu to Meet Peddlers and Members of Her “Wolf Pack”
Out of the many things that Sucker Punch has showcased for Ghost of Yōtei, the most interesting element is camping. Brand new to the franchise, Atsu can set up camp anywhere in Ezo, which is ideal for cooking food, playing the shamisen and admiring the stars.
However, it offers other benefits. Throughout Atsu’s journey, she’ll build up a network of connections known as the Wolf Pack. Replacing the Journal from Ghost of Tsushima, the Wolf Pack details important NPCs and allies who may have new gear, abilities, and more for Atsu. If you set up camp, they’ll come to visit and provide these benefits.
Sucker Punch outlines how annoying it would be to go to different allies for benefits, and through this method, they’ll come to you instead. Peddlers can also occasionally find Atsu and offer their wares.
It certainly helps the mechanic stand out from the likes of Red Dead Redemption. Ghost of Yōtei launches on October 2nd for PS5. Head here to learn more about exploration and here for details on combat, including new disarming tactics and weapon switching.
