For those who hated Augur, even in its Sovereign form, take solace: Fissure in the Fog will receive the Everdark treatment on August 7th, 3 AM CEST (6 PM PDT on August 8th). Players face Caligo, Miasma of Night, which has been enhanced, likely with new moves.
It’s only available for a week, however, after which Tricephalos and Equilibrius Beast will be the next Everdark Sovereign. As usual, slaying them grants Sovereign Sigils, which you can trade for special Relics. If you defeat one for the first time, additional Sigils are awarded.
Of course, FromSoftware has said nothing about the eighth and final Nightlord, and whether it will receive the Everdark Sovereign treatment. With additional DLC out later this year, we could see an announcement at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19th. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
Elden Ring Nightreign is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. It’s shipped over five million units since launching last May. Check out our review for the base version, but keep in mind it’s received several improvements (including Duo Expeditions).
