Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered Announced, Includes All 3 Original Games With Improved Graphics

Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered

If new content and killer sales coming to 007 First Light wasn’t enough, IO Interactive and Saber Interactive have announced a blast from the past with the Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered. Launching in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, it includes remasters of the first three games in the franchise – Codename 47, Silent Assassin and Contracts.

Retaining the same art direction as the original, the remastered trilogy offers improved character models, high-resolution textures and vastly improved environments. Those buildings on the waterfront, which used to be blurry textures, are now fully rendered. Even the water looks so much better than before.

Of course, those who prefer the original’s visuals can simply swap back whenever they feel like it. There’s also Photo Mode because, well, it’s a modern game. Why shouldn’t it have a Photo Mode? This way, you can venture outside the usual mission area and admire the environments all the more.

Otherwise, this is the classic Hitman experience as you remember, with disguises, stealth, and various ways to assassinate your targets. No License to Kill here, though you do have firearms to fight back if things get dicey. Stay tuned for more updates and read our review for Hitman 3, the third entry in the reboot trilogy and the last developed by IO Interactive before it repackaged everything into World of Assassination.
