Sonic X Shadow Generations Crosses 3 Million Copies Sold

Sonic X Shadow Generations has just reached a new milestone, with the game’s official handle announcing it’s sold over 3 million copies.

That’s certainly an achievement for any title, although it’s not really a surprise given how well it was received when it was released alongside a remaster of another beloved classic. We certainly had a lot of fun with it. It was certainly enough to bring us back to the Switch 2 version with glee last year.

With a presence across a wide variety of playable platforms, the lasting appeal of Sonic as everyone’s favorite hedgehog, and of course, the return of Shadow to the spotlight, this one has had a lot going in its favor on the way to reaching a sales volume that any title would be envious of.

We think congratulations are in order, and there’s hope that we’ll be seeing both Sonic and Shadow a lot more in the near future with adventures as good as, and hopefully even better than what’s on offer in Shadow Generations. The real question is: Will that be in a sequel to Sonic Frontiers or something brand new? Time will tell, so stay tuned for more updates in the future.
