Hollow Knight: Silksong Demo Confirmed for Gamescom 2025
Microsoft has officially detailed its plans for Gamescom on Xbox Wire, including two days of broadcasts on August 20th and 21st. There’s plenty to get excited about, but perhaps the most notable is that Hollow Knight: Silksong – yes, that Hollow Knight: Silksong – will have a new playable demo.
Outside of being playable at the ACMI Museum in Australia this September, this will be the first time that attendees can go hands-on with the highly anticipated Metroidvania title. It’s playable on PC and the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally X, which is also playable for the general public for the first time. Judging by recent rumors, the latter could receive a release date and price announcement.
After its reveal in February 2019 and multiple delays, Hollow Knight: Silksong is slated to launch later this year, with Team Cherry confirming its arrival before the Holiday season. It will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, the Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 alongside Game Pass.
