No Man’s Sky: Adrift Expedition Features an Abandoned Universe, Now Live
Hello Games has released its latest Expedition for No Man’s Sky, Adrift, which sees players venturing into an abandoned universe. Unlike the base game, there are no shops or NPCs – just you attempting to survive. Check out the trailer below to see it in action.
Sandworms cruise through the universe, broken-down buildings abound, and a new “ghostly” frigate is available to make a pact. It’s worth noting that players can’t communicate with each other or even the Space Anomaly.
However, they can utilize a new Hauler ship called the Iron Vulture, which comes with many new customization options. Surviving the journey will provide rewards like a new stealth paint for ships, three new posts, a Gnawing Scuttler Companion, and the option to recreate Starship Wreckage in your base.
No Man’s Sky is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. It’s received consistent free updates since August 2016 with no signs of stopping soon. Hello Games is also working on Light No Fire, the first “true” open-world title, though it doesn’t have a release date.
