If you’ve been with us for a while, you probably know that Road to Vostok has been on our radar ever since its announcement in 2022.
The thought of a game that could push even the most skilled individuals to play it safe was definitely interesting, and this one’s permadeath approach had us wondering what it would be like. Well, we’re quite close to getting an answer as it’s finally made its early access debut, accompanied by a rather lengthy launch video where the developer goes into detail about what to expect.
We’ve already spoken about how it could be very appealing to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl fans, thanks to a world that’s focused on the realistic simulation of harsh real-world conditions. Which is going to work very well with the lack of safety nets that most modern gamers take for granted. It’s intended to be a test, and one that you’ll have to work very hard to pass. Therein lies its reward, though, as the journey to Vostok is fraught with danger that only the bravest and brightest among you can overcome.
Road to Vostok is planned to remain in early access for about two to four years, offering twice the content currently available.
